Free music download's is a vey tempting but will it kill off iTunes? I certainly think it will have some impact but no iTunes will live forever. SpiralFrog on the other hand will I believe be dead within a few years. I can't see this service making enough money to survive. Still if you are prepared to sit through a 90 second plus advert for your free song then why not use them while they are around.

SpiralFrog claims that consumers are willing to pay for their content by watching "non-intrusive, contextually-relevant, targeted advertising."

Seems unlikely, from what Ive heard (there was a short piece on BBC Radio 4 the other day) they wont play on iPods. Also, it sounded as if they were pushing the music video market as there was talk of queuing up videos for a 'party'.

Ive also since heard that it basically caches the video/music (similarly to the way YouTube/Google Video works I guess) locally so youre actually watching ads as it downloads and caches - so it seems it has to download the ad at the same time as it downloads the video/music.

So no, no thank you SpiralFrog - 6/10 for effort, try harder next time.
