
HBO may soon be making its way to the iTunes Store with its popular TV content, a deal that could make a splash in more ways than one. The agreement could lure the network's exclusive content, such as Entourage, The Wire, and John Adams outside of HBO's own walled garden—and may also indicate that Apple is willing to make exceptions to its rigid, uniform pricing structure for the iTunes Store.

HBO currently puts its shows online as part of its HBO on Broadband initiative. The service is strictly limited to HBO On Demand subscribers, however, meaning that if you don't pay a premium on your cable bill for the channel, there's no online content for you.
